U20 WC QUALIFIER- BURUNDI THROUGH TO SECOND ROUND ON AN 8-1 AGG. AGAINST DJIBOUTI

At the qualifiers for the upcoming Women’s World Cup – Under-20s, the Burundi U20 team made it through the first round by eliminating the Djibouti. The young Burundians defeated the Djiboutians on 5 August 2017, in the return match on a score of 2 goals to 1.

The two Burundian goals were scored by two attackers namely Erica Kanyamuneza and Falonne Nahimana who play  club football for La Colombe FC and Fofila PF de Ngozi respectively. On the Djiboutian side, the lone goal came from the foot of Mademoiselle Khafia.

Image result for DJIBOUTIENNE FOOTBALL FEMININEBurundi won in the  first leg by 6-0 in Djibouti. In the next round, the Swallows  will face the winner between South Africa and Namibia with Rwanda having withdrawn from the qualifiers.
