KENYA U20 WNT FLY TO BOTSWANA FOR WORLD CUP QUALIFIER

U 20 WomenThe National U 20 Women team has left the country today, July 19, 2017, ahead of the first leg of the U 20 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifier against Botswana scheduled for Friday 21st July 2017 at the Lobatse Sports Complex in Gaborone

The team has been in camp since July 9 in Machakos, where an initial squad of 33 players was trimmed to 20 for the Botswana assignment

The second leg will be played on August 5, 2017, at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. The winner of the two legged preliminary round fixture will then face Ethiopia in the first round

The FIFA U 20 Women’s World Cup is a biennial tournament contested by the under-20 national teams of the member associations of FIFA. The next edition will be held in France in August 2018. North Korea won the 2016 edition held in Papua New Guinea, edging out France 3-1
